hey! i'm bilal.

i'm originally from houston, but live in san francisco. i started brylo, an AI-maximalist gene editing lab with my co-founder & best friend rudy. we automate the computational pipeline for gene editing, but our long term vision is to act as a gene editing company ourselves, designing & licensing gene therapies 100x faster & leaner than incumbents. we've raised a pre-seed backed by z fellows (cory levy) and pareto holdings, & are raising our seed in june. i'm on leave from ut austin after my freshman year.

previously co-founded & exited cognigauge with rudy. we've spent the last few years working on 14+ biomedical AI research projects across top labs at stanford, harvard, johns hopkins, penn, & more, often as the only high schoolers in the lab! i'm super obsessed with biological enhancement & attack on titan.
